Ableton Course: Learn Music Production in Ableton Live

The Music Workflow Academy Ableton Course is an online music production course with 166 on demand video lessons. It takes you from a blank Ableton Live project to finished, mixed tracks, with a fast and repeatable workflow you can use on every song.

You learn at your own pace on any device, from anywhere in the UK or abroad. The course costs £197 as one payment, or you can get the Ableton Course and the DJ Course together for £297.

The lessons follow the order you actually make a track in, so you always know what to do next.

• Setting up Ableton Live: audio settings, plugin folders, templates and a browser you can find things in.
• Drums and grooves: programming kicks, hats and percussion that sit in the pocket.
• Basslines and chords: writing parts that work together, even if you do not play an instrument.
• Sound design: getting the most out of Ableton devices and free plugins.
• Arrangement: turning an eight-bar loop into a full track with builds, drops and breakdowns.
• Mixing: EQ, compression, space and balance, so your track sounds clear on every system.
• Finishing: exporting, mastering basics and building habits that get tracks finished.

The Ableton Course is for beginners who have just opened Ableton Live, and for producers who have plenty of loops but struggle to finish tracks. All you need is a computer that runs Ableton Live. A MIDI keyboard and decent headphones or speakers help, but they are not essential on day one.
