DJ Lessons in Chester With Omar Meho

Music Workflow Academy is based in Saltney, on the edge of Chester, and Omar Meho teaches 1 to 1 DJ and Ableton lessons in person and online. Every lesson is built around you: your music, your equipment and what you want to achieve, whether that is your first mix, your first gig or your first finished track.

Omar is an international resident DJ in Ibiza, Dubai, the French Alps and the US, and the founder of Music Workflow Academy, named Best DJ and Music Production School 2026.

Most students start with a personalised 6-week programme. In the first session Omar finds out where you are and where you want to get to, then plans the next five sessions around it.

• DJ lessons: beatmatching, phrasing, EQ, transitions, mixing in key, building sets and preparing for your first gig.
• Ableton lessons: drums, basslines, chords, arrangement, mixing and a workflow that gets tracks finished.
• Between lessons: practice tasks and feedback, so every session moves you forward.

Lessons are available in person in Chester or online, so you can carry on wherever you are.

Many Chester students pair their 1 to 1 lessons with our online courses, so they can revise between sessions. The DJ Course has 155 on demand lessons and the Ableton Course has 166, each £197, or you can get both for £297.

Schools and colleges in Chester, Cheshire and beyond can book DJ and music production workshops through MWA for Schools. Omar helped shape a DJ GCSE curriculum at The Grange school in Hereford, where his student achieved an A*.

We have 115+ five-star reviews in a row, our teaching is CPD accredited, and Omar was named in Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe (Entertainment) in 2022. He has had plays on BBC Radio 1 and been featured in The Times, Metro, the Daily Mail, Times Radio and Absolute Radio, so you learn from someone who does this for a living.
